
The MSJC volleyball team completed their first round of Inland Empire Athletic Conference matches picking up two more wins and staying unbeaten in league play.
The Eagles swept Victor Valley at home on Friday October 11th by scores of 25-17, 25-8, and 25-12. Josephine Springer led a balanced offensive attack with 8 kills while Audrey Franks knocked down 7 and Jade Tolliver had 6. Amari Ramirez and Kalia Anady both dished out 12 assists each. Brooklyn Jimenez and Ramirez picked up 8 digs apiece to lead the defense.
Wednesday night the Eagles traveled to Chaffey and again earned a sweep as they defeated the Panthers 25-20, 25-17, and 25-19. Springer had a solid all-around match as she led the team in kills with 13 and digs with 16. Franks added 9 kills, 3 digs, and a block assist. Jimenez picked up 12 digs to help with the defense and Sienna Vitelli got 10, Hailey Frary had a solo block and 3 block assists.
The Eagles improved to 6-0 in IEAC matches with the wins, they are 12-8 overall. MSJC will return to action on Wednesday October 23rd when they host College of the Desert at 5 pm in San Jacinto.
