Men's Tennis Opens With Two Matches Against Orange Coast

The MSJC men's tennis team kicked off their season with a pair of matches against Orange Coast College last week.

The Eagles traveled to the Pirates on Tuesday and then hosted OCC on Thursday.  The result was the same both days as the Pirates were able to win both matches with MSJC 9-0.

On opening day the doubles team of Connor Westrich and Anthony Walmer made a run at picking up a doubles victory at #3, but fell just short 6-8.  Thomas Westman lost a tough singles match at #2 4-6 and 4-6.

Thursday the Eagles once again battled hard as the the duo of Justin Atas and Cole Proffitt played strong in doubles, winning four straight games before losing 5-8.

MSJC will be back in action on Thursday February 9th when they travel to Fulleron, their next home match is Tuesday the 14th against Mt. SAC at 2 pm.
