The MSJC softball team has won 8 of their last 9 games and after last week's doubleheader sweep of College of the Desert remain unbeaten in Inland Empire Athletic Conference play at 4-0.

Prior to Friday's sweep of Desert, MSJC picked up a pair of wins at Grossmont.  Annalie Castanon, Madison Morris, and Isabella Harris each had an RBI as the Eagles defeated Grossmont 3-2 behind a strong game in the circle from Trinity Robinson.  In game two at Grossmont, MSJC rallied from a 5-0 deficit to win in 8 innings 8-5.  Morris had two more RBIs in that game and Katryna Detert earned the pitching victory in relief.

Friday MSJC and Desert battled for five scoreless innings in game one, before the Roadrunners took a 2-0 lead in the top of the 6th.  The Eagles answered with 6 runs of their own in the bottom of the 6th as Castanon and Bailey Heuer both knocked home two runs a piece while Harris and Carolina Blanco both drove in one.  Robinson picked up another pitching win for the Eagles.  In game two Friday MSJC dominated from the start scoring two runs in the bottom of the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd to grab a 6-0 lead, they would end the game early when they tacked on two more in the 6th for the 8-0 victory.  Stephanie Wagner earned the win in the circle going 4 innings.

Tuesday the Eagles saw their seven game winning streak snapped as they lost to San Diego Mesa 5-4 in the first game of a double dip.  The Eagles built a 4-0 lead after 6 innings behind a two run single from Marissa Sanchez and run scoring hits from Castanon an Heuer, but the Olympians rallied to score 5 times in the bottom of the 7th for the victory.  MSJC bounced back in game two to win 2-1, behind a strong pitching performance from Detert.  Alyssa Jimenez and Laila Andrade had RBIs for the Eagles.

MSJC is now 13-7 overall on the season and 4-0 in IEAC play.  The Eagles will host Chaffey in a conference doubleheader Friday on the Menifee Campus, with game one set to begin at noon.
