Women's Basketball Wins on the Road

The MSJC women's basketball team opened the game with a 7-0 run and went on to win Saturday on the road as they defeated Barstow 85-43.

The Eagles built a lead of 24-9 after the first quarter and pushed their advantage to 46-16 at halftime as they stayed unbeaten in Inland Empire Athletic Conference play.  MSJC controlled the game throughout and had a strong rebounding advantage of 52-34 in the contest.  

Four Eagles reached double figures in scoring led by 18 each from Jana Roman and Rayven CrookJheisymae Artagame added 17 points and Valeria Brewer had 12 in the victory.  Roman also had a game high 13 rebounds for MSJC as she recorded her fourth straight double double.  Shyann Morreo added a game best 6 assists.

The win improved the Eagles overall record on the season to 19-2, they are 7-0 in the IEAC.  MSJC will host Victor Valley on Wednesday night at 5 pm, in game that will feature the top two teams in the conference.  VVC comes into Wednesday's game 6-1 in the league and 14-7 overall.
