Eagle Women Pick Up Home Win Over SBVC

The MSJC women's basketball team improved their Inland Empire Athletic Conference record to 10-0 on Wednesday night as they defeated visiting San Bernardino Valley 99-24.

The Eagles got off to a solid start as they raced out to a 32-8 lead after the first quarter.  The second period was more of the same as MSJC was able to build a halftime lead of 58-14 behind some accurate shooting.  

Five MSJC players scored in double figures and all nine players who played in the game had at least 4 points.  Sandee Heiermann led the way as she just missed a triple double as she scored a game high 21 points, pulled in 11 rebounds, and dished out a game best 9 assists.  Alexus Williams had a double double with 15 points and 12 rebounds off the bench.  Rayven Crook was also solid as she scored 17 points, along with 5 rebounds, and 5 steals.  Valeria Brewer and Jheisymae Artagame also reached double figures with 15 and 10 points each, Arantxa Roman added 8points for MSJC.

The Eagles are now 10-0 in the IEAC and 22-2 overall on the season, MSJC has the weekend off before traveling to Copper Mountain next Wednesday.  The team's next home game is Saturday February 11th when they host College of the Desert at 1 pm.
