The MSJC women's basketball team picked up wins over Skyline and LA Harbor this past weekend to improve to 5-2 on the season.

Friday the Eagles defeated Skyline 76-71, in a game that was close throughout.  Breyonna Bell scored a team high 16 points in the win while Lauren Pagtakhan came off the bench to add 13.  Natalie Derla just missed a double double with 12 points and 9 rebounds.  Drasoni Kyles dished out a team high 5 assists.

Saturday MSJC shook off a very sluggish start to pick up a win in overtime against LA Harbor 72-64.  The Eagles had a rough day shooting, but made up for it with some second half defense and rebounding.  Pagtakhan had a big day off the bench as she scored a team high 25 points.  Valeria Brewer scored 12 points and passed out 4 assists.  Jana Roman had a game high 14 rebounds.

The Eagles are now 5-2 on the season and will be on the road for three games this week.  Wednesday MSJC travels to Grossmont for a 6 pm game and then will travel to Victorville to take on Antelope Valley and Santa Barbara in a tournament hosted by Victor Valley.
