The MSJC women's basketball team led from start to finish at home on Saturday night as they defeated Citrus 84-54 in a 3C2A second round So Cal Regional play-off game.

The Eagles jumped out of the gates to grab a 10-0 lead when Valeria Brewer and Drasoni Kyles each connected on a three pointer and Jana Roman added a pair of field goals inside the lane in the opening 2 minutes.  From then on the Eagles steadily pulled away the rest of the half behind a strong effort from Inland Empire Athletic Conference Player of the Year Breyonna Bell and the rest of the MSJC offense.  By the end of the opening period MSJC led 29-18, and at halftime the lead ballooned to 56-26.

Bell finished her impressive night with 28 points and 5 steals.  Roman had a big night as well as she stuffed the stat sheet with 18 points, 17 rebounds, 5 assists, and two blocks.  Alaysia Kidwell also had a double double in the win for the Eagles as she ended the night with 10 points and 12 boards.

The Eagles, who improved to 25-4 on the season, will now travel to Orange Coast next Saturday March 9th to take on the Pirates in the Regional Final.  The winner of next Saturday's game will advance to the 3C2A State Elite Eight.
