Scott Howerton was named the head coach for the Mt. San Jacinto women's golf team in February of 2024.
Coach Howerton has been teaching in the Kinesiology Department at MSJC since 2005. Throughout his time at the college he has also served as a golf instructor and assistant golf coach for the Eagles.
He has experience in all aspects of the golf program including; recruiting, fund raising, practice planning, and monitoring of student athlete's academic progress.
Howerton is also a certified athletic trainer and has provided student athletes with expertise in nutrition, training, and injury prevention among many others.
